Spanning a number of states in the Western part of North America, the American Rockies cover over 1,000 square miles from Canada to New Mexico. Steeped in myths and legends of American Indians and cowboys, it's an area better known as the Wild West.
Traveller Ian Wright begins his journey in the Badlands of South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation. Next stop is the holy mountain of Bear Butte, where the Indian pay homage to the spirits. Travelling North he visits Deadwood, South Dakota, before continuing through Montana to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He ends his journey in the world famous Yellowstone National Park.
